How To Celebrate Halloween This Year

22/10/2020

back to blog

With trick-or-treating and wild Halloween parties definitely cancelled this year, this October 31st is set to be a little different to what we’re used to. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get yourself into the spirit of things – and since this Halloween falls on a Saturday, that’s even more reason to get your ghost on.

Whether you’re Hallow-in isolation or Hallow-out visiting friends this year, there are still so many ways you can celebrate spooky season, even if it’s not fright-night as we know it.

Scary Movie Night

Nothing says October 31st like a spooky movie marathon, am I right? If you can handle the horror, then stick a scary film on and get snuggled down with your favourite sweet treats. Blankets at the ready – just be sure to watch out for things that go ‘bump’ in the night…

Pumpkin Carving

2020 might have cancelled most good things so far, but it won’t cancel the most classic Halloween activity of them all – carving something creepy into a pumpkin! Go traditional with a scary face or get creative with characters, patterns or words. If you’re the competitive type, why not bring back Zoom and host virtual pumpkin carving? And we’ve got just the outfit you need with our spooky slogan tee…

Go On A Ghost Walk

Depending on current restrictions near you, there’s plenty of places offering socially distanced ghost walks and tours across the country this Halloween. And what better way to get in the spooky spirit than with a ghoulish ghost hunt or a terrifying after-dark trail? If that’s not possible, an autumn walk with family or friends in your local area is perfect for blowing the cobwebs away.

Bake Some Spooky Treats

It wouldn’t be spooky season without a few treats, so take to the kitchen and get ready to whip up a storm. From creepy cookies and cobweb cakes to classic toffee apples, spoil your friends and family with some of your homemade bakes this Halloween.

Host A Halloween Party (Of Six)

If restrictions allow, then why not throw a small Halloween bash? Decorate the house, conjure up some cocktails and lay the buffet table for a petrifying party of six. No costume? No problem! Creep it real and team one of our Halloween tees with some spooky accessories, a dark smokey eye and bold red lipstick.
